nonfiction..

I am almost desperatly seeking couple of reliable nonfiction novels.. :o any help?

on what topic? i still have my stats books somewhere, but i doubt that will make a good read.

what do u like, biographies, wwII, history?

hehe forgot to tell.. biographies would do..

The autobiography of Ben Franklin is actually a pretty entertaining read.

Also I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou.

Black Boy- by Richard Wright.

you guys, I already have read two of 'em .. :frowning: I demand more..

hmm...tan....'Mirror to the Blind'...biography of maulana Abdus Sattar Edhi by Tehmina Durrani...i'm looking fwd to reading that inshallah...my friend read it and said its excellent...

there's also the Malcolm X one...its quite good

and ofcourse benazir's 'daughter of the east'...its ok...

tehmina durrani also wrote 'my feudal lord' abt herself but i dint really like that

"a prince among slaves"
Michael wolfe's next PBS documentary is on this book about an african prince who was enslaved in 1788 and finally freed 40 years later,,,

I'm tempted to crack a joke about Scottish and Pakistani tribesmen having a similar interest in mountain wildlife, but I read reviews of that book which describe it as outstanding. It was the Independent on Sunday Book of the Year Choice for 2002. I think I might try to get hold of it.

Yeah I will. Me and Scotland have a love hate relationship due to the proximity but I have heard only good things about Kathleen Jamie. I plan on getting a hold of a copy and I'll do a review here later maybe.

Thanks for the pointer mate.
