non vested stocks for taxes

If you have given stocks by your employer and they are not vested yet - do you have to give taxes on them?

Re: non vested stocks for taxes

did you cash out on anything? if not, no tax, pal.

Re: non vested stocks for taxes

nope haven't sold anything yet - good - thanks

Re: non vested stocks for taxes

since the stock are not vested i think there is question of selling them out.

as per ITO 2001 shares becomes taxable under the stock option scheme when they are vested, irrespective of the fact whether u sell it or not.
