Re: non stick cookware
Calphalon is really lovely but hey, you really dont need the non-stick cookware for most things you cook...so one or two pieces should be more than fine for most kitchens I think and regular stainless for the rest. Beware of the inexpensive brands of non-stick cookware, the coating eventually comes off and cooks into food, even more so when you use metal utensils on it. It happens even with the most expensive brands when you use metals on it. I really prefer using regular (stainless steel) and Pam, the non-stick spray coating, that stuff really works and they have all different kinds now - extra virgin olive oil, butter, olive oil with garlic, etc etc so why take a chance on ingesting heavy metals...ya know?
