I know HUT. But I’m told that there are many organizations working for that right now. I want to know anyone in general and those in NY in specific.

Try to explain what kind of information are you looking?If you are looking for pre foreclosure house then its a different story.
Sorry if I misread your question but are you trying to buy foreclosure home?Or your house is going in foreclosure?

Does anyone know abbout the the non-profit orgs that are working to help people to avoid their expected home foreclosures?
I've heard that there are plenty of such, but I dont know exactly which ones are these and how can I contact them.
For example, I know about HUD (Housing & urban development) which is a govt organization and who assists in these matters. Any others?
