Let’s say, you have a muslim and another muslim. And one of these is being harassed by a non-muslim. Does the third person help their muslim brother/sister, or stay out of the way, or take the non-muslim’s side?

If you help a deserving person without his request then it is generosity, and if you help him after his request then mostly it is due to shyness to refuse or fear of reproach. - Imam Ali A.S

Just curious!
Only in one religion of the world which is not Islam it is mandatory to help follower of a religion even if he/she is on the wrong side. Islam does not have any such credo.
Islam discourages false allegations , being judgmental , hating someone on the basis of their religious belief, and being assumptive against fellow Muslims.
it is mandatory to help your fellow muslim. indeed it is belief which brings you into brotherhood. in the case of your fellow muslim being in the wrong it is still mandatory to help them. for the latter you help them by stopping them. however, it would be wrong to over emphasize on this to the extent that we take this as our main aim
Depends who i think is being reasonable or unreasonable. Most of the time i would stay out of it. Everybody is a human being first and foremost. Their religion/race/gender etc is secondary and it wouldnt influence my view point of them in the least. But thats just my opinion.
