Non-muslims visiting Islamic/holy shrines of respected pirs/scholars..?

:salam:

is it ok if non muslims like hindu’s for arguments sake visit our holy shrines like in india for example non-muslims go to hajmaer shareef (<<excuse the spelling) and they touch the graves of our holy saints etc and pray and that. is all this ok..

^ you nin..I have been to Jama Masjid in delhi like 15 times. I have also seen Mohammad's red hair that is located in a secret room in Jama Masjid.

l u c,

What do you think is wrong with that? Please share with us some of your reasons for starting this discussion.

show some respect for hazrat mohammed :saw: when u mention their paak name it isn’t just another name that ur saying mohammed.. naozubillah

well lucky u u saw hazoor’s hair very fortunate u are.

^ why are u always out to condemn non-muslims?

does it make anyone lose respect for the prophet if they dont use certain words after his name? these are such trivual matters..

neways back to the topic... i dont see any harm in non-muslims visiting muslim sites... if a muslim can go to a church, temple etc... then why not the other way around?

plus... muslims shouldnt be going to pray at saints graves neways..

Re: non-muslims visiting islamic / holy shrines of respected pir/scholars.. etc of islam

I took many hindu friends to mosques here in USA. Dont know about shrines though.. I would never go there myself to a grave to ask something though I can go there to ask Allah for his forgiveness and fatahah.

the question shud be: Is it right for muslims to be visiting shrines and pirs????

Brother these are not my words... but the Quran

2:255] Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great

[21:28] He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they *do not intercede except for him whom He approves * and for fear of Him they tremble.

[19:87] They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah.

[20:109] On that day shall no intercession avail except of him whom the Beneficent Allah allows and whose word He is pleased with.

[34:23] And intercession will not avail aught with Him save of him whom He permits. Until when fear shall be removed from their hearts, They shall say: What is it that your Lord said? They shall say: The truth. And He is the Most High, the Great.

[53:26] And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession does not avail at all except after Allah has given permission to whom He pleases and chooses.

now you decide? does allah allow intercession???

Exactly!!! What possible benefit could there be in going to pray by a collection of bones, or going to see even the hair of the Prophet (SAWS). It just encourages bida'a !!!

:nono: :nono3: :nono4: i didn’t expect such a remark from somebody of ur nature mad_scientist. it’s a blessing to see anything belonging to the holy prophet hazrat mohammed-e-mustapha :saw: and ur saying…

I agree with this. Praying to Allah mian and keeping The Prophet (pbuh) in one's thoughts is appropriate but praying to pirs, fakirs, and the like is not right at all.
