omg i never said arbic names i siad islamic names with good meaning which are mostly arabic ..... :) or persian
well nobody said that holy prophet him slef encouraged sahaba to learn more languages
[/QUOTE]
Where did you say Islamic Names? I never saw.
Nobody said that The Holy prophet(PBUH) himself or the teachings of Islam ever discouraged its followers to learn other languages. Explain the Hadith of China in this context.
It is already said that religion is nothing to do with language. Muslim (islam) is not a language it’s a religion. Similarly Hindu is not a language it’s a religion. So there is no question of Muslims-Names and Hindu-Names; You can use any name (which gives you a good mean and according to your belief) from any language; Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Pustho, Balochi, Sindhi, Hindi, Bangali, Chineses, English, French, Spanish etc. These are all languages not religions. Language is to communicate and religion is to believe and act upon.
Finally I am just quoting what Faisal has said: Ofcourse, if you want an Arabic-only name... more power to you.
Ahmad Arsalan I can understand Arabic only names though I don’t agree with it but Persian, why are Persian names considered anymore Islamic than Sanskrit names?
I think Desis are best of avoiding names they can’t pronounce properly, we have problems with the Arabic 7’s and 3’s, imagine talking to someone and then stopping during your conversation to change your accent/tone so that you can pronounce 3isha or A7mad properly and then resuming your conversation with an Urdu accent, it’s too much of an hassle and if you don’t you’ve totally screwed up the meaning in most cases.
