The one that I would really like to get, which isn’t offered here in Canada is Nokia 7610.
Of the two phones that I mentioned, which one is better? Are either phones significantly better than Nokia 3600? If not, then I’d rather delay getting a new phone at this time.
Is it a possibility of getting Nokia 7610 for around $150 (Canadian), perhaps new or slightly used?
I personally think getting a set from Rogers is a rip off. You can get virtually any GSM phone for much cheaper. Also I know couple of places (authorized Rogers dealers) , where they can give you better deals than posted anywhere.
7610 is v.high end phone goes for about $350 -$400 (without contract in Canada)
(Personally I find it quite big. Unique Design though)
PalmOne is also lil impractical (because of its size). If you want big phones you can look into Sony Ericsson P900 or the older version (cheaper)P800 < click to see specifications.
P900 goes for about $300-$330. Not up with P800 prices. (No contract - works with Rogers / fido Canada)
If you want a small phone with most practicality you can get nOKIA 6230 ($250ish) It can has camera, FM radio, mp3 play back, record videos, bluetooth …
I have to get back to you about Rogers corp plans
Only one off hand I remember is:
$23
100 Daytime minutes
even and weekend starting at 6pm
Check on fido plans, they are v.attractive too.
hehe, No I am not afflicted with anyone. Just play with phones as a hobby
PrinceMS, I went out and got Nokia 6620, alhamdulillah. It seems a lot better than Nokia 3600.
Btw... do fill me in on places where I can get a phone from. My sister is also about to change her phone and reasonable prices would be much appreaciated.
Nokia’s insistence to continue futzing around with regular numeric keypad is annoying and admirable at the same time. Kudos to them for thinking (and keep thinking) outside the box, however after you look at some of their products](CNET: Product reviews, advice, how-tos and the latest news), you tend to look again at your precious cell phone and admire the simplicity and functionality of a regular keypad.
