Noise sensitivity is a problem when it prevents a person from living a normal life. Physical or psychological health conditions often affect the way we hear noise and sound. Medical conditions of sound and noise include tinnitus, hyperacusis, misophonia, phonophobia, recruitment, and vibroacoustic disease.

You know white-noise helps some times.
Every noise has a certain frequency, that's how we distinguish between different voices.
White noise consist noises of every frequency in it. So it suppress any particular frequency noise.
For example if ppl are talking out side of our room and you turn on a noisy heater/fan in the room, you wont hear ppl talking and it will put you to sleep.
ppl talking= noise of different frequency.
heater/fan= white noise.

i'm too noise sensitive too. i can't listen to loud noises or else i scream or jump. when my mom's yelling at me i cover my ears and she gets angrier b/c she thinks i'm being rude when in actuality i'm just trying to prevent myself from getting a migraine!

yup..i've been sleeping with a fan on for over 10 yrs. no matter how cold it is, my fan's always on.
Do you have weaker nerves too?
Did you ever stay away from noise, as on a mountain or by the sea??
If you have did your sensitivity went down??

You know you should totally try that some time. Stay in absolute zero noise environment for a while.
Little sounds like bird chirping,waves , breaking dried sticks under your steps will make your head clear in a way you cant imagine.
