You know what really irritates me? When people say someone is cute and good looking, and pass compliments based on look.

I was with a group of friends, and there were some girls that came with one of the guys.

So one of the guys that were there, god knows who that bichara was, gets up to get drinks. One of the girls says, “wow man, that guy sure weighs like hes 200 pounds, the sofa is all pichka hua” “talk about thick glasses, he can set up another berlin wall with those”

Now honestly these are remarks that ANY of us make. They were all exaggerated comments. He was no where close to 200 pounds, and his glasses were not thick, prolly a .2 .3 typa guy.

Then the girls went on about, how cute ali zafar is, and orlando bloom this and orlando bloom that.

Now Honestly, if you were to add 200 pounds on Orlando Bloom, NO ONE WOULD DARE SAY he is cute.

But, ** ISN"T HE THE SAME GUY!? **

If you took the world’s fatest women, made her loose all her weight down to a mere, sexy one.

She would be sexy, and people would pay attention to her, but ** isn’t she the same women?! **

The point is. I’m honoured to be in a religion that teaches one to look at the characteristics and the personality of a person, than their appearance. Further more, to look at their beliefs and ideologies.

This western society and this cultural ideology of defined perfection, is wrong.

Next time think about who you compliment, and who you make fun of.

Don’t ever judge someone by their looks. Because EVERYONE is ugly, until they have a good heart.

That “200 pound” man, came back with drinks for all of us. What a nice guy.
Not even knowing what those girls had said about him.

I wudn’t call someone ugly based on looks alone but if their personality is trashy than their face starts to look ugly to me as well… Like this one girl I knew, she was so beautiful. Tall, nice body, nice hair etc. But I kinda got to know her and now all her physical flaws stand out a lot coz of her shiitty attitude, her pimples, her fake hair etc etc. And then there are those who pleasantly surprise you :blush:

Yes, but my point is that, its a common misconception that people hold so dearly to.

Girls don’t marry guys because they’re not good looking enough. Why? because they fall victim to this type of thinking.

Then they get married to sum no name, good looking bradd pitt look alike. And suffer a marriage balancing between suicide and divorce.

To give you an example.

C I dont think there's many physically ugly ppl. Only a few extreme cases, but theres very few ppl who can't be helped wit a lil diet/exereicse/weight gain/dermatologist/etc etc. It's only someone's personality or attitude that maeks em unattractive.

Crescent, it's different when it comes to marriage n choosing a partner. A good relationship cannot survive on a beautiful personality alone, there has to be a minimum of physical attraction.

N i dunno wat girls ur talking about. All the young, beautiful girls I c are married to much much older "unattractivE" guyz.

ahh, silly non-psych people. don’t you see, this is all a result of our base nature. long long time ago, before the emergence of the concept called monogomy, the female had to choose a mate, to produce a child. and how do you pick a healthy male? by LOOKING at him. you don’t have time to go on various outings with him and then decide that, “hmm, i think he is the one. i will let him mate with me.” and that concept had proven soo well with time, that it has kinda stuck with us throughout this time. It’s kinda like being scared snakes. they don’t really do anything to you, but a long long time ago, you had to be scared of them if you wanted to see the light of another day. and just like it takes practice to get rid of the fear of snakes, it takes time to look beyond the cover.

He may be a total idiot, or some mad women hater. You never know.

If ali zafar shows up to some PAKI girl's house asking her hand in marriage. SHE WILL SAY YES.

We don't really need to judge a person to like him/her, but we also need it in our daily life. In office, in market, in interviews.

So how to do that ? :)
