Re: No U-Turn this time , PTI tendering resign befor 14 August ,
I can imagine within a maximum of 1 week all the parties doing dharna going home with their tails between their legs. They have lost whatever support or sympathy they had. The average person in Pakistan is cursing them, I have spoken to a few people in various places in Pakistan now. Only people sitting here in the West in front of computer screens are supporting them. Talk about self-importance.

Letting Mush free was the main goal of this drama. Since your leader has accepted to let Mush go, the main purpose of this azadi march is achieved. Losers in the end will be NS, SS and PML(N).

Not my leaders. If PPP was competent and actually did something for the country instead of looting then I would support them. I was Imran Khan supporter until this drama started. I even used to argue with Anwer Pasha over Imran Khan on GS, now I accept that he was right about him and I was wrong. I may return to support Imran Khan if he stops shooting himself in the foot and again stands for principles instead of expediency. However from what I have seen so far in the last 14 months PML N is more competent than any other party. They have been able to sort out most of the mess left behind by PPP.

Agreed.
Sharif is a much better option than power hungry Imran/Qadri and his anti-democracy ISI backers.
Re: No U-Turn this time , PTI tendering resign befor 14 August ,
After rejoining of IK & other leaders , with many protocol police vehicles , number of vehicles of Aazadi March much increased .
But where is Sheeda T.......... ?
Re: No U-Turn this time , PTI tendering resign befor 14 August ,
So you think your leaders are pawaitar and far from any corruption eh . Compare history of corruption between the two party leaders, yours would always be leaders in this competition. What PML(N) has done in more than one year for Pakistan? Can you just give one achievement that PPP couldn’t do it?
I still stick to my conspiracy theory about this drama. Soon you will hear release of Mush to meet his mama. This drama was also a reminder of unceremonious departure of NS in 1999 when he was kicked out only for doing mega corruption. That army still rule the country, don’t forget it while eating paya, nihaari and gajrella.
As regard their competency as you claim, I am afraid to say about your prejudiced and Punjabism in your above post. Even after watching past events, guys like you claim these ‘jackals’ in the hides of lions are competent, phir Pakistan ka Allah hi hafiz hay.
PPP faced much severe crisis than this one and how it handled it nicely whole world watched it. This is called competency.
** LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday night said that a party activist was killed and six others injured in a clash with police earlier and termed Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, murderer of the “15 martyrs.”
Speaking to the media, he said the group would have “no choice other than giving a final call of revolution to the entire nation to come out on streets and march towards Islamabad and provincial capitals to topple (the) government,” should the arrests of his followers continue.
He alleged that more than 500 followers were arrested by police in a campaign of intimidation.
Qadri, who is normally Canada-based, returned to Pakistan in June to lead what he terms a “peaceful revolution.”
Clashes between Qadri supporters and police in June left 14 activists dead in a rare example of political violence in the relatively peaceful Punjab province.
The cleric had previously announced “martyrs day,” a mass prayer session for the victims of June’s violence to be held on August 10 in Lahore but it is unclear whether he plans to march on the capital the same day.
A religious moderate, Qadri commands tens of thousands of followers and held a disruptive four-day sit-in protest against the government in 2013, months ahead of the election that saw Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif come to power for the third time.
Earlier, sources in the Punjab administration told DawnNews that Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif had issued orders to the police to arrest Dr Qadri.
The orders were issued as PAT workers armed with clubs clashed with policemen in Lahore Model Town, with reports of several people being injured.
Sources added that the government has also recommended to the federal government that Qadri’s name should be put in the Exit Control List (ECL).
PAT leader Rahiq Abbasi told DawnNews that workers will not allow any attempt to put Dr Qadri under house arrest.
He added that the entire nation was watching through the media the atrocities being carried out by the Punjab police against the party workers.
Abbasi vowed to turn every street and neighbourhood in Lahore into “a war zone” if the PAT chief is arrested.
Later, speaking to the media, Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashood alleged that the PAT was conspiring to disrupt the ongoing military offensive, Operation Zarb-i-Azb in North Waziristan Agency. He said that Tahirul Qadri and his supporters had planned to attack seven districts in Punjab.
The PML-N leader said that law enforcement forces will not allow the ‘mob’ of Tahirul Qadri to disturb peace in the country.
Mashood said there was no place in Pakistan for those who do not abide by the law and the Constitution.

PAT workers clash with police in Model Town

The situation turned tense in Lahore’s Model Town when a large number of PAT workers broke through a police cordon blocking main entrances leading to the secretariat of Qadri’s Minhajul Quran.
Television footage showed PAT workers armed with clubs chasing policemen stationed around the Model Town area. The youth wings of the PAT and the Tehreek Minhajul Quran armed with clubs were roaming the streets around the secretariat.
DIG operations Lahore Haider Ashraf said that the barricades will not be removed at any cost, and that an additional contingent of law enforcement personnel has been called in to quell the situation.
Lahore police has been carrying out an extensive crackdown on PAT office-bearers and activists with hundreds of detentions, and has blocked all entrances to Model Town to bar PAT workers from reaching the secretariat.
Qadri has announced that they will hold a ‘Martyrs’ Day’ on Aug 10 in protest of the killings of PAT workers in violent clashes in Model Town in June.
The cleric-turned-political activist has vowed to topple and jail government ministers by the end of the month.
Speaking to reporters earlier today, Qadri said the Punjab government was resorting to ‘state-terrorism’ in their crackdown against activists and supporters trying to reach his Model Town Residence.
The PAT chief claimed the government was carrying out mass-detentions of PAT workers and had blockaded all roads to his residence, turning the situation in Model Town similar to that in Gaza.
He said such tactics by the government will not stop ‘the revolution’.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) the largest and main opposition party in the Parliament has strongly condemned Shahbaz Sharif’s Punjab government for overreacting to a simple situation and creating an atmosphere of siege throughout province causing miseries to the ordinary people, commuters and daily wage earners.
“PPP is shocked over the manner in which Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has overreacted to call by Dr Tahirul Qadri to pay homage today to those who had recently lost their lives during the Model Town incident due to unwise, thoughtless and arrogant police action”, PPP’s information secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira said in a statement.
Kaira said Qadri may be a demagogue deserving no sympathy whatsoever but it makes no sense to punish the ordinary people for what the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief may be doing.
"Roads in major provincial cities have been blocked by placing containers, patients have been dying on roadsides due to lack of access to hospitals.
Gas stations and shops of daily food items are shut and public and private transport has come to a standstill.
It is beyond comprehension as to why the provincial government has overreacted," said Kaira adding that “It achieved nothing but exposed the provincial government’s sense of fear, paranoia and sheer desperation.”
The PPP leader said that the government of Shahbaz Sharif has miserably failed in tackling the situation in Lahore and was trying to kill a fly with a cannon.
He added that that “The chief minister has been unmindful of the huge social and human collateral damage which he inflicted on the hapless citizens and daily wage earners.”
The PPP demanded that provincial government should immediately lift the blockades faced by the province’s ordinary people and deal with Qadri in ways that are ingenious and non violent.
Re: No U-Turn this time , PTI tendering resign befor 14 August ,
Nobody comes even close to PPP in corruption. One of your leaders even said that “corruption is our right”. Besides I am not Punjabi, although I have family members who are Punjabi. Surrey Place, Cotecna, ARY Gold, Agosta submarines do they ring any bells?
