NO TV

Our eldest was told that he might need prescription glasses and we were told to get his eyesight checked again after 3 months.

Since then wife has removed the 3 tvs we had at home, and we have adjusted quite well except that i miss my evening news.

Re: NO TV

Get one of them back. It's OK to watch TV once in a while. Bad eyesight is not the TVs fault but ours if we sit so close to it. Also, it is hereditary to a certain extent.

Re: NO TV

Re: NO TV

Niki the problem is tc makes too much of a discipline issue, the kids are always like, just 5 minutes more, this one is my favourite blah blah

Now there is much less headache

Re: NO TV

removing 3 tvs...that's brilliant icono....keep it up.

Re: NO TV

Watching tv and eye sight - there is not muc corelation there in studies. Infact make sure that your kids have ample lighting when they are studying. I used to read books in the dark and my eye sight deteriated because of that.

You are a saint - I cannot give up my T.V - but I have put limits on what and how much my children watch.

I agree.

But Icono, if that is really a big concern get a LCD or Plasma TV. CRT tvs are bad for eyes only if you get too close to them, Plasma/LCD are safe that way

Re: NO TV

We have LCD
