Woolmer left a good coaching legacy behind. If circumstances were to be changed, he would have been a strong candidate to coach the current team under a new captain. In any case, the months leading up to the investigation were very depressing, news coming in from all different sources. Theory of a murder, a few suspects, waiting for the release of CCTV footage, finger-prints, pathologist coming up with his own theory, Scotland Yard involvement, just so much happened that it overshadowed everything else, the event, all. Nonetheless, it was a long time before public was at rest. Pakistan cricket have changed in some ways since then, for good or better or worse, it has changed.
