No time for a Honeymoon ...

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

Hazrat Amir Muawiyaah RA used his own money for "shehenshaho jaisa lifestyle", not by stealing public money, getting loans never to repay etc.

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

BTW, can you share with us the formula using which Shahbaz Sharif was holding 10-20 ministries in his last tenure?

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

Little bit off topic. How Amir Mauwiyaah became Hazrat and RA when he and his son Yazid were involved in killing Hazrat Imam Hussain and his whole family?

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

Read 'Khilafat o Mamlookiyat', 'Muqaduma e Ibn e Khaldoon', ' Tareekh e Tibri' and Arabic Lughat for usage of Hazrat and RA.

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

I don't want to derail this thread. Since childhood we were read and told how Muawiaah and his son Yazid were involved in brutal killings of off-springs of Prophet Muhammad? Don't get me wrong I am Sunni. We never used Hazrat before Muawiaah, Yazid or Abdul Mutlib who was favorite uncle of Prophet Mohammad, was not successful in convincing his uncle and he died non Muslim.

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

I don't know which book you read, but the book(s) I read used those terms for Hazrat Muawiyah, not sure about Yazid, I can't recall how Hazrat Muawiya RA was involved in killing of Hazrat Hussain RA. From the definitions of companion we used these terms for Hazrat Muawiyah RA, you may disagree if you wish.

Re: No time for a Honeymoon ...

Not trying to inject myself one way or the other, but logically, how could Yazid become a king unless his dad wasn't in power anymore? Judging by how things ran back in the day, I can pretty much say that his father was dead when he decided to become caliph in iraq. Hazrat Ali's and the governor of syria's conflict is another topic for another thread, but even there the reasoning behind the conflict was hazrat ali's inability, either due to lack of resources or most likely the delicate political setup around his rule, to not prosecute the muslim killer of Hazrat Umer.
