DUBAI: The Qauid Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has insisted no parliamentary resolution is required to pursue a legal trial against former President Pervez Musharraf.
Addressing a celebration gathering in regard to Independence Day here on Sunday, Nawaz said if government did not take legal action against Musharraf so it will be akin to provision of indemnity to him.
He said previous governments remained failures to prosecute dictators due to imposition of back-to-back Martial Laws, adding that distortion of democracy and violation of constitution could be averted if court’s verdict is implemented.
“We do not want to create troubles for federal government but it must heal the wounds of Balochistan by carrying out investigations of the murder of Akber Bukti through authoritative court commission, PML-N Quaid concluded
