Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

bump!

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

The damage is already done. What Mushie says doesn't count anyway.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

**“Is it possible in this situation that an al-Qaeda man sitting here, no matter who he is, may control things in London, Sharm el-Sheikh, Istanbul or Africa? This is absolutely wrong,” the president said. **

Musharraf told the Brits to stick their accusations over the London bombings, and now he is saying the same over the Egyptian attacks. :k:

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

The newsreport is mostly statements by Musharraf and Pakistani foreign ministry; and they are essentially talking about actions inside Pakistan and the probability of Pakistani involvement in Egypt. Its too premature to definitively conclude as to who is or is not involved in the bombings.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Well, the Jews are supposed to control everything in the world from a tiny strip of land in the desert of the ME, so what's the mystery how that happens? OBL was sitting in Afghanistan 9/11, and we all know what happened to Afghanistan.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

hey the egyptians said it not me, go tell them it’s premature, they’re doing the investigation. All the experts in egypt think it’s isreal though, they havn’t forgotten '56.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Musharraf is sounding more and more like the former Iraqi information minister  :hehe:

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

The Egyptians are investigating the bombings so presumably they will follow all the leads and can question anyone whom they suspect. That doesn’t mean the persons they are looking for are definitely the bombers, atleast not in this very early stage of investigation. Anyone claiming that someone is NOT a bomber, especially trying to vouch for a nation of 150+ million people, is foolish. No one in his right mind can give a guarantee like that. We can all speculate, which is fine.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

THIS is not funny

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Maybe pre-emptive accusation is catching, Blair and Bush did it, the egyptians are now doing it saying it’s not the pakis.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Egyptians are saying its not the pakis??? Really? Where? I must have missed it. I only saw speculative statements from Mushy and Pak diplomats.

Also, lets go back to the original news story in BBC about Egyptian investigation. Here is the link](http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050725/ap_on_re_mi_ea/egypt_resort_attack_2;_ylt=Ara9V6xBs.DWQnpP2WLrRXTFCBEB;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl)and here is what it says:

Its an ongoing investigation. Lets not jump the gun, here.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

A Pakistani link in the Sharm bombings also is being investigated, with police launching a manhunt for five Pakistani men Monday. However, a senior government official said the Pakistanis had overstayed their visa and may not necessarily be connected to the bombings.

But because of most terrorist activities in the past have a Pakistani connection, Egypt immediately started suspecting the Pakistanis.

Remember how Macedonia killed number of Pakistanis suspecting they are terrorists.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

You have missed it, and twice over. It’s in the BBC news piece posted in the opening of this thread.

**Police in Egypt are not linking the missing men to Friday’s Sharm al-Sheikh bombings, in which more than 60 died. **

and:-

**It appears, however, that Pakistanis were being sought even before the bomb attacks and the Egyptian interior ministry has not confirmed that there is a connection between them and the Sharm al-Sheikh bombings. **

President Musharraf has been perfectly wise to state what he did. The fools are those leaders who start accusing people just three hours after a terrorist bombing, and those who kill a man in cold blood one day saying he was ‘directly’ connected to the attacks, and then next say sorry the next, and concede he was not. That and other glaring discrepancies made by some foolish leaders in the last couple of weeks can be pointed out, but there are other threads for that.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

The five were identified as Mohammed Anwar, 30; Rashid Ali, 26; Mohammed Aref, 26; Musaddeq Hussein, 18; and Mohammed Akhtar, 30. The pictures, which gave the men’s names and passport numbers, also were on posters put up in Cairo, apparently out of concern they were in the capital either before or since the attacks.

But officials did not say the men were known to be connected to the bombing. One senior official said the men had overstayed their visas and police were looking widely into any illegal activity in the wake of the blasts.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

That is pretty much what Egyptian media are saying as well. In fact they are openly speculating that Israel is actually behind this, while people arrested in connection to the bombings so far include Bedouins.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

I'd bet good money those Pakistani are only in Egypt to go to Europe illegally (LOL) and have nothing to do with this attack

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Indeed.

Remember how the Brit police were looking for that Egyptian “chemist” straight after the 7/7 attacks in London? The Egyptian government from day one denied he had anything to do with the bombings, just like Musharraf has here, then questioned the guy, and guess what we have heard no more about that story from the Brits.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Right here.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4717117.stm

Egypt has ruled out any Pakistani role in last Saturday’s resort bombings, the country’s ambassador in Islamabad says.
Egyptian police are searching for six missing Pakistanis, but Hassan Haridi called it a “routine security check”.

“We deny categorically any links between Pakistani nationals and Sharm al-Sheikh blasts,” he said.

Re: NO Pakistani connection to Egypt bombings!

Musharraf was right after all, and those who were getting joy from these allegations now have egg on their faces.
