it does depend on the size of the event, however i am sure your photographer/videographer can answer those questions better since they do this professionally. During my friends wedding the photographer was continuously taking pictures and made a beautiful album for her, and i don't think anyone knows the exact number of pictures should be taken. I think most take at least 3-4 times the amount of photos needed in an album because you want to pick variety.

i got only 1 videographer n photogher for my wedding to cover the whole event.
i had 2 photoshoots one in parlour n 1 with my photographer i booked, it totally depends on you how many pics you want, for parlour i got 10 mayoon pics, 10 mehndi and 30 reception pics and with photographer i think they were total 40 for the whole event.
pictures for the whole event depends on you i asked my photographer to cover each n every single detail of the wedding he then gave me soft copies and then i selected the ones i need for my album.
when i got married thid HD was not present so cant say anything about tht

I would book two for the mehndi and one for shadi and valima. there's usually more stuff going on at the mehndi so you would want him to cover it all. Also you would want him to get the mehndi dances from many angels and not just one.

Are you making it yourself? completly depends on how many you want. I know my photographer asked me to pick 30 pics that he would edit and put in the album.

Agree with Miea.. And yes there is a big difference between HD and Standard quality but i don't think HD quality videos are that much cheap as the equipment used in making HD quality videos are quite expensive.
