No Namaz for Transexual

Re: No Namaz for Transexual

Again, what makes you think its "safe to assume" she wasn't? The article doesn't even mention reasons for surgery.

Just think about the sort that decide to have a sex change for fun. Would a person born into a muslim family that decided to have this surgery actually ADDRESS this situation with the clerics the way this person did, and would they make an issue out of not being able to pray at a mosque? If he/she is religious enough to make it to the mosque for prayer, then WHY can't we give them the benefit of the doubt?

Part of it is miseducation about sex change surgeries. Everyone thinks they're 99% done for fun.

Sex change issues are far more serious and deep. So many forms of genetic anomalies can give you mixed organs. You could look normal from the outside, and find out you're infertile because not every cell in your body is reading XX or XY as you'd think they should.
