Re: No more salan

Chips, why did you edit your post?

I ended up making plain ol' salan that day because I wasted too much time doing other things and I was left with no time for experimentation. It did turn out yummy though because I substituted some spices and the techique.

^ Chicken Satay!

Re: No more salan

Gina, do you have the recipe for that?

  • Ginger(julienned) 15 gms
  • Garlic(chopped) 10 gms
  • Curry Leaves few springs
  • Coconut(Pieces) 2 tbsp

2 COOKING DIRECTIONS

Re: No more salan

Thanks ladies. Riya, I will surely try out the above recipe. Would you be kind enough to post the manchurian recipe one last time :bummer: please?

Gina thanks!!!

sorry...I was editing it but I hit sth and lost all of it and never typed it again...:(
if u still need it...it was as follows...

Fry up a medium chopped onion till slightly oink...add 1 tsp each of ginger and garlic and fry for a min or so...add the chicken pieces plus 1 cup yogurt + salt + 1 tsp black peppers + 1/2 tsp red chilli powder (or acc to taste ) + some zeera

Bhoonify well...when the water evaporates, cover and let it cook on low flame till chicken is done...

it wont be like a salan...something more like a roast with itsy bitsy gravy...:)
