How about charging people, and then using those funds to beef up security and surveillance? Does entry into Airport imply from street, or from the parking lot to the actual building? As some have already said, it would be very inconvenient if people aren’t allowed access to the airport parameters altogether. There has to be a better way. Maybe limit how close to the Passenger-Only areas others can go.

I think they already charge you at Lahore Airport. Or that might be an older thing, I don’t remember/notice it anymore. Plus they charge for the coolie-service (can’t remember the other name for it).

They were charging at Islamabad Airport already. The passengers with tickets were free, all other persons had to pay Rs. 20/person.
