Just received an email from T-mobile CEO and President. :sadiyah:
FYI,

Dear Valued Customer,
This is a personal note of thanks for continuing to choose T‑Mobile[SUP]®[/SUP] as your wireless provider! And in light of the way customers like you stood by us, we’re eager to continue serving you as T‑Mobile. Your loyalty and the outpouring of messages in support of keeping us independent were both gratifying and humbling.
With the uncertainty of the potential AT&T acquisition removed, we’re rapidly moving ahead with plans to ramp up investments in ways that will benefit YOU. We’re improving the coverage and speed of our 4G network, while bringing you the very latest selection of 4G devices and great 4G plans and services for every budget. We’re also adding convenient retail locations and modernizing our current stores.
T‑Mobile is here, in fighting shape, and we’ll compete aggressively to continue earning your business and meeting your expectations.
Once again, many thanks for being a T‑Mobile customer.
It looks that way. AT&T was all set to take T-Mobile in its’ fold until Feds. intervened.
I say it’s better this way. There must be more choices. Why doesn’t AT&T affiliate with a “regional carrier”, kind of like Sprint is affiliated with Boost Mobile.
Yeah, old news. TMo already recived the multi-billion dollar payout from ATT cuz this didn’t happen. ATT might be buying Dish Network now, much cheaper than the TMo merger.
The reason AT&T wanted T-mobile and not sprint etc is because both of them are on GSM network, where AT&T is trying to expand, unlike the CDMA of the likes of verizon and sprint. I am happy, not that I am part of either company now (used to be first t-mo and then att), but because competition brews better products. AT&T took over cingular and I think that the service went down not up as were the claims back then as well.
