Re: No Last Name...
Yes I'm in the US I don't mind about LNU or FNU inshaAllah azzawajal when he comes over here he will change it but I'm just scared about while the case is pending and him coming over here nothing else.....also DO you know anyone who had this type of situation???? Cuz I'm thinking now that I already mailed the papers and they might say why r u changing it now and u know the immigration people's make a fuss about every little thing
It will not be easy to change it once he gets here cuz all his legal paper work will be under that name. He won't even able to get an ID with proper name. Only way he will be able to change it is if he changes his green card which cost you more money and more time. If u submit copy of his passport with his full name immigration will not question you. You still have time till his case gets approved and goes to NVC. J know people who have been in this situation ( I do family immigration paperwork for people ) I always tell my clients to get it fixed before the visa is issued... For those who come to me after they are here and are facing difficulties cuz of fnu or lnu will have to get their passport fixed first and than apply for correction on the green card and this takes time and will cost you extra money.
