Firstly I would like to commend GS on maintain a top notch sense of professionalism. The abuse of power is as it always has been. Well done indeed. You can take the Pakistani out of Pakistani, you can’t take their desire to abuse power out of them though.
So a series of questions.
Why weren’t the posts just deleted and the thread kept in tact?
The posts were relevant to the discussion at hand. One member had an issue with the nominee, relevant points were made to counter it. So where was it going for the worst?
Remember a simple addage, Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And you wonder why nobody takes your moderators seriously.
Nah the thread can rot in hell. Its now a much bigger issue Abuse of power because someone doesn’t like what they read so they ask the moderators to delete it.
GS should simply state that they run on the Pakistani standard of professionalism and we should be all set. No requirements of transparency, accountability etc.
Plus I know full well that this will not be addressed. They haven’t addressed this for years amongst other things. But hell if I can ***** about it I will
Honestly CM, that thread had served its purpose. TLK, the director of GS, had responded to your query and said that he is looking in to finding more male mods but he's not just picking any tom, dick or bob. It's quite funny how when any thread gets moved it automatically falls upon 'abuse of power'...'unfair' maybe it was taking a turn for the worse and he took the best decision of moving it.
It was a rather simple question for which I got no real answer. I was not informed the situation was being looked into. I was not informed what had taken a turn for the worst and I certainly was not given my due right to ask further details.
What is it with the team here and their allergic reaction to providing reasons for their actions?
Secondly abuse of power is rather relevant. If you really wish to know more I am more than happy to send you a PM. But since i am such a nice guy :rolleyes: I am not gonna point fingers at anybody in specific in public.

the second point. you know that it’s a common courtesy for us to give a reason as to why and where your thread is gone. mods are not obliged to…and it may change in the future or it may not but for now that’s the way it goes. and to prove it, TLK’s mentioned it in another thread too. and since you ARE such a nice guy i’m sure you understand now :cheegum:
Irrelevant. A simple question sweets. Why was the other thread locked when the question was not addressed. Its smacks of simple arrogance on a matter which was not settled. But I doubt I will get an answer on the matter that is satisfactory.

CM, I removed the thread because you were constantly refering to a married guppan as 'Hot Lips' till her hubby came into the thread and ploitley asked you to stop that.
If you do not have civil attitude of how to refer to people on threads then dont expect your thread to stay in public forum
If the purpose of your thread was to get nominations as suggested in number 2 of your original post then I suggest you start a poll in life 1. Feedback is not a place for such polls/threads. However, I will gladly start such a poll in life 1 if you like.
As far as removing irrelevant posts from that thread in question...had we done that, we would be left with nothing because there was no substance in that thread apart from your original post, a couple civilized replies and TLK's response to it. Was that thread not for the GS team to review? well it was looked into by the team, and answered by the director thus serving it's intended purpose.
Last but not least, as TLK said above, calling a well respected member of our board "Hot Lips" not once... but a few times will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
