No Fathers Day Threads

I know everyone was elated about the cricket match but no threads celebrating FATHERS AND GRANDFATHERS of GS

“Allah nay paer tallay Jaanat to nahin di, but recognition to daini chahiyay”

Thanks for all you do… hope you had a fun day with your kiddos

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

Life and Relationship channel's other name is lets bash desi man .. in that environment, is that a surprise that no one started a thread for fathers ...:p

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

ohhh poor fathers :p

thats not nice ladies..when we had mothers day...it was all so excited what to give..where to take...etc etc..

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

Father's Day was nice for us. Went over to bro's place for lunch and he gave daddy gift. I had my son give my daddy his gift, and hubby got his presents in the morning. Im carrying his child, really that should be present enough.

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

oh.. we have fathers day in september down here in Australia... hence didnt realise.

Happy father's day to all you fathers out there

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

Fathers Day in our home started with the match, the a special breakfast of rotis with timater ki chutney and boiled egg ki sabzi. Then we went off with the kidos and had fun.

But yes, my daughters are blessed to have such a loving father who takes care of them and their needs unconditionally and with a passion. I, too am blessed to have such a wonderful dad. Thank you guys.

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

My husband isnt into mother's/father's day. He says we should be doing this stuff all year long and not once a year. I still wished him and wanted to make his fav dish that day bt it didnt workout. So the next day i bought him a little something he has been wanting and wrote a note from our daughter and he really appreciated that. I think i was more excited because this was our first father's day.

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

I felt SO very bad when I read this thread....it was an inexcusable oversight!! Not an excuse but an explanation....all the moms were making the Dad's day nice and so did not post or visit here on this very special day...

We had a really nice day, we treasure the "Dad" for all he is and all he does. We are truly blessed to have him.

Thank you to all the Dads and in hindsight I hope your special day was really special.

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

^ ya ya mama!! save it for the judge :)

I like TLK's explanation better :)

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

It is sad isn't it nj? :(

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

Niksik - a little sad - yes but there a bit truth in what TLK said.

Overall in the desi culture - fathers don't really get involved in the hands on activities.

That's why you'll see many adults from our generation very close to their moms but not so much to their dads. (that is gradually changing... as mothers and father's role begin to evolve )

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

yeah i didnt wish the hubby happy fathers day :vivo:

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

^ why not Sara? It's his child too. :)

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

Re: No Fathers Day Threads

Just wait until your child is bigger then he or she will MAKE HIM buy you stuff and bring you breakfast in bed. :)
