Can you guys share a tried and tested…amazing chicken biryani recipe. I do not have any shan masalas at home and no access to them so need a recipe that uses masalas we have at home.

Thanks Chipsy :) .... It turned out pretty good except that during damm time I did what I do with my kachay ghosht kee biryani (added saffron to milk) and that made the chawal a bit soggy. But hubby liked it a lot :) aur toh aur Jr. loved it. We had biryani, mint chutney and home made creme caramel.

Next week I am gonna try the keema biryani inshAllah

Use easy cook (saila) basmati.

I am glad it turned out nice Automne..:)
My ammi does the saffron in milk thing too.I think you just have to drain the rice a lil earlier so it can absorb the extra fluid later on without getting soft.
Try the qeema biryani too.It is yummy...:)
