Disagree. A thoughtful discussion does not make generalizations. It looks at each situation without making sweeping statements like: majority of girls or most Punjabis or most Mohajirs or most UK girls or most hijabis or most mullahs. Generalizations are rarely made to forward a constructive discussion - rather it’s to divide and give one the ability to judge another. So yeah, I stand by what I said.

The comments are editorialized and juxtaposed with my own opinions and how I perceive their behavior. Clearly how another person perceives it may be completely different–I recognize that. It’s not a judgment, I’m not saying these girls are commiting sin or should be punished, I just state how I perceive their behavior and my opinion regarding it (we all have likes and dislikes about certain personality traits no?and for me, such behavior is not classy and then I comment on why I think these girls act this way (i.e. for attention and validation). Thats like the basic outline of most of my posts. I would love to hear from a girl who posts a lot of pictures of herself on facebook and hear a honest self reflction about why she thinks she posts so many pictures. Does it make her feel good getting attention and likes from other? Does she do it to get attention from opposite sex? Does she do it to compete with other girls to show that she’s more happening? Does she do it because she’s bored? Would love to hear her perspective as long as it was a honest self reflection of her behavior. It would provide a lot of insight and understanding.
