No evidence found against Younus Khan: Lawyer

DUBAI (UAE) – No evidence of misconduct was found against Younus Khan, claimed his lawyer Barrister Mohammad Ahmed Qayyum, who is the son of former Attorney General Justice (retd) Malik Qayyum.
Younus Khan and Mohammad Yousuf were banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for an indefinite period following an inquiry report which suggested that both the player were involved in breaches of discipline.
“I have seen the documents personally at PCB headquarters and I found no evidence at all against my client,” the lawyer, while speaking to this scribe from Lahore said.
On Saturday, Younus Khan, along with his lawyer, went to PCB office to examine the documents but since the papers were locked and Younus had to return to Karachi, the lawyer himself went and examined the paper on Monday.
“When I asked for the copies of the papers, they have promised me to give copies these documents on Saturday, when the second round of hearing with the arbitrator former justice Irfan Qadir is to take place.
“Younus Khan was not a part of the team on New Zealand tour and was only a member of the one-day side on Australia tour.
“Yes, we shall certainly press for the open hearings and let the world know about his innocence,” the lawyer insisted.
Younus is regarded as one of the best players of spin bowling in the world, being particularly strong on the leg side. Along with Mohammad Yousuf and retired player Inzamam-ul-Haq, he formed a formidable middle order batting line up for Pakistan.
The hearings of Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved Rana will take place on May 22.

Re: No evidence found against Younus Khan: Lawyer

There's no doubt in my mind that Younis has never indulged in any kind of questionable behavior i.e., indiscipline, involvement with bookies, etc. The only thing he has done is his emotional outbursts and turning down captaincy several times, but that has more to do with his frustration with PCB, the Pakistani setup, and groupism in the team.

We'll definitely need him for the Australia Test series in England.

Malik Qayyum's son? wow... good going Younis. hired a crook's son. well done.
