After the tremendous injury to English cricket team (lost by innings and 118 runs), Richie Benaud has further insulted them by saying that ‘No Englishman would get into Waugh’s team’. Someone showed those mediocre Englishmen their true worth.

BIRMINGHAM (England), July 8: No England cricketer would be able to get into the current Australian team, according to Richie Benaud.
The former Australian captain faced the question after Steve Waugh’s side won the first Test at Edgbaston by an innings and 118 runs on the fourth day on Sunday.
“Fortunately the question doesn’t arise, it’s purely hypothetical but the short answer is no,” Benaud said.
Benaud, working as a commentator for Channel 4 television, added: “You have to put somebody out of the Australian side to put an Englishman in.”
He said England opener Marcus Trescothick could be considered as a replacement for Matthew Hayden but said the Australian player had scored 549 runs in the three-Test series in India recently (average 109.8), adding: “He’s a brilliant player.”
Benaud said it would be a “tremendous loss” if England captain Nasser Hussain, who broke a finger on Sunday, was ruled out of the second test at Lord’s in a fortnight.
“He’s a good player and a good captain but he has not shown it here because the Australians steam-rollered them.”-Reuters
