Do you girls think it’s acceptable to not wear a dupatta to a wedding.
Since mostly maxis and long flair dresses with kaam are IN. And sometimes scarfs look unnecessary.
Just wanted your views.

Re: No Dupatta
I assume you don't mean for your own wedding. Honestly I don't think it matters if it's a wedding or not. If you're not the bride, it's just another (formal) social event. If you would wear it to another formal party, then you can wear it at the wedding. I'm sure some people will make comments, but those people are doing it cuz they're not fans of change or innovation. As long as you feel it is nice and formal enough for the event, it's probably fine.
Re: No Dupatta
If it's not your own wedding, then sure why not? I never wear a dupatta to weddings myself. But I also don't wear the hijab, so I don't know :S lol. If it's for your own wedding then it's completely up to you! Traditionally you should and I think it looks nice too. When else are you going to be able to wear a pretty dupatta on your head? :P
Re: No Dupatta
Oh no, of course it's not for my wedding!..
It's for me on a family member's wedding function. I'd like to get a long flairy gown style dress made.. & I was thinkin that a dupatta would look totally unnessary and too much..
I don't know people at the wedding would react though.. The reason why I ask this is cause recently I attended a close friend's wedding & her mum n elder sister had fitted dresses on and no dupatta,, and people were talking like.. dulhan ki maa ko aisey nahin karna chahiyeh.. she should have some shame n modesty. Ok that's understandable.. but Is it acceptable for a young lady to attend a shaadi or any function without dupatta?
Re: No Dupatta
^ I think so.
