its really a good idea but it will not gona happen ever
Re: No Cameras written on Wedding Invitation.
Mabey instead of banning camera's totally - just mentioning somewhere (whether its on the invitation or at the wedding itself - little notecards on the table) - that the "the bride, groom, and their families would appreciate it if pictures taken are not posted on the internet in any way or form.... thank you".
That might be a less harsher approach to this issue??? I can completely understand both ends of the argument. People dress up and get excited to attend weddings... they want to take pictures. They want to take pictures of the decor and the bride and groom ... its only natural. There are usually a million more pictures of the guest herself/himself with their family and friends at the wedding than the bride and groom when albums are posted: UNLESS if it is a family member. And I feel like, with family members it is easier to get the point across that you don't want them to post pictures... and they are more understanding of this.
Weddings are private affairs and special moments...however our weddings tend to be some of the biggest of any culture since we feel the need to invite every mama, chacha, friend's cousin down the road's auntie. lol. You get my point. So they are really really big. It would be easier to say "no camera's please" and it being honored if you had like a hundred guest total. But that is like impossible. And again as people have mentioned - people like taking pictures of themselves and family all dressed up. They are times when people reunite with old friends and family members they have not seen in a long time. And as SGC says - brides often luv to see pictures that capture moments that their photographers may have missed.
........ that is my opinion :)
See now THAT is the correct way of expressing an opinion. You acknowledged both sides, stated your reasons, stated other sides reason, and then stated which side you are on! There is no disrespecting other brides opinions of choices here!
(PR, I hope you didn’t mind that I used you as an example. ![]()
****)
Can't we post our opinions without arguing about others preferences? Everyone is entitled to his/her point of veiw as long as put in a decent manner.
no LP sometimes that is not possible, as seen many times on gs!
and we all have rights to defend our opinions against puerile people like Precious7, who doesn't know how to express her opinions in a decent manner.
If your not scared then why don't you go ahead and post a pic of yourself right now in this thread, you liberal Western girl. I want to see some of those Western values practiced. :)
lol! totally agree!!
Yaaawnn!! You're all hurting my feelings...LMAO!!!!!! Come on! No cameras! Go get married in the middle east!!!!
post up your pic on this thread now if you're not camera-shy!!
Re: No Cameras written on Wedding Invitation.
Why you giving me so much attention! Anyways, I'm loving it! Keep it coming!!!....LOL
Re: No Cameras written on Wedding Invitation.
Of course yor're loving it. Attention seekers do.
...anyway you suddendly camera shy?!

I doubt very much people would actually respect that request. No-one is actually going to sit there and "stalk" every single guest online to make sure no wedding pictures have been uploaded. It would be a case of 'What they don't know won't harm them..." kind of thing
Re: No Cameras written on Wedding Invitation.
Yeah I can also see both sides of the arguement. I think PR's suggestion is a good one. I don't think cameras should be banned all together but a note can be made somewhere to emphasize that the family of the bride and groom wish their wedding pictures to remain private and that any pictures taken should not be shared else where or on any online albums.
