^ How strange. Well, don't mind about the gifts, is it possible that they actually couldn't afford to get u better stuff? Or if it was intentional they r not worth worrying about.
I have heard people turning up to their relatives weddings with video cameras filming all the girls in a perverted way, making full use of the ZOOM button. I don't know if it is true, but trust me, I have seen some people isolate particular ppl and focus filming on them, bunch of pervs!
