NJ Boutique

Hello Ladies,

For anyone who’s interested, just wanted to share what I’ve found. I went to Zari Boutique in Parsippany, NJ, which was about a 45 minute drive for me when leaving from the Bronx. The website for that store is Parked Domain name on Hostinger DNS system
The lady who owns the boutique is Zarmina, and she was pretty helpful. She will work with the customer to design outfits (whether they be for wedding or party wear) and will go through the whole process with the person. She had some very nice outfits in stock, and the tailors copy outfits from pictures as well. Exactly how good she is, I cannot yet say. I have yet to use her services, but most likely I will do so for my future ensemble. I do know that the clothing she had in stock was very nice. She had raw silk outfits, she had the jamevar silk ones, the bridal outfits were nice, and the salwar kameezes were very pretty. Expensive though, so keep that in mind too. But seemed like quality work, better than what I’ve found so far at Jackson Heights or Edison. So just letting you guys know.

Re: NJ Boutique

but for the ones who can get their stuff made from Pakistan i think it would be cheaper for them innit?

Re: NJ Boutique

How about a rough price range Syani?

Re: NJ Boutique

Price range... ok. So I saw a few ready made wedding lenghas, in raw silk w/ very pretty beading on them... and she said that with a discount (which i think is always available), it would be about $700-800. The salwar kameezes were nice but expensive. They ranged from $150 - $350, depending on material and amount of work. She will custom-make outfits and copy designs. The number of ready made clothes in the boutique were limited. Most she custom makes or orders I believe. I think i'll be making another trip there in the middle of the month. If there's any additional info you guys want me to find out, just let me know and I'll be sure to ask.

Re: NJ Boutique

True, but if you can't make a trip back home or have someone do it, or sometimes you want to be able to personally oversee everything, (for the control freaks in us) from material selection to design, then it makes sense to have it done where you can talk one on one with the designer and make sure things are being made the way you want it. Especially if it's a particularly important outfit, like a bridal outfit. Either way, just passing the information along.

Re: NJ Boutique

hmmm..................nice..................well actually $700 to $800 is a normal price for paki based designer also, so i think it's not really bad.
