i) Achievement? Wha?
ii) No one "keeps" a husband
iii) Bigots spit, and beat out of hate...people with underdeveloped brains hit and beat because they can't even correctly identify who they should be hating.
iv) Must you keep saying "white husband"? It shouldn't be important if he's white or black. He's a Muslim...alhamdulillah...that's it...end of story...for us at least...there certainly is no excusing the response he's been getting.
^Amani06......i felt sad for what you told earlier........but I still cant get that why did you write that incident in your post?
Are you trying to show that women in hijab or men with beard are ignorant and evil. there are bad and good people everywhere, please try to compare good muslim[with hijab or beard] with good muslims[without hijab or beard].
for example compare yourself to Yvonne Ridley or compare your husband to Abdul Rahim Green or Yusuf Islam.
^ Amani came up to prove Hijaabi sisters and Bearded muslims are fanatics but she didn't know binAadam was there, lol, so she gave lame excuses for what she intended.

We have already seen cases of bombs being hidden under burqas. We have to be aware of the reality of mullah terror.
Hareem01&binAadam: Ur the only perfect muslims in the world ok cos u wear hijaab and have a beard. Thats what u wanna hear right? And that every1 else who doesnt is evil and will burn in hell-well neither of u r the judges on the day of judgement. Theres only one judge- End of! Allah knows what every1s intentions r so who the hell r u to say that my husband is a good muslim or not-r u SO perfect urself?Of course ur not cos we're all human beings and we all make mistakes. Anyway i cant b bothered with this anymore! Other ppl on here understand what i was trying to say-i was only commenting on our personal experience but of course u cant handle hearing anything negative abt ur perfect ppl-thats fine! And no i didnt give lame excuses-Binaadam u said i was something special cos i married a white convert where the hell did i say in that post i was something special?Exactly i didnt! That is exactly the kind of attitude i was reffering to-that religious ppl with hijaabs and beards look down their noses at other ppl who dont and think their superior and better muslims. But of course ur all so perfect that its much easier for u to b all high and mighty and look down ur noses at others who arnt-Wow thats really pious and islamic isnt it? We agree to disagree-end of!

yeah......we agree to disagree.........................
next time try to compare good muslims(with religious identifications) with good muslims(without religious identifications).
Why should my husband and I stop going to Green Street just cos of ppls ignorance?
There is a very simple solution to this, Green Street put politely is a sh1thole, now if you went to somewhere more respectable like Clapham Common, you wouldn't have to deal with ignorant people.

Hareem01, I think you missed her point unless she did not make it clear enough. Muslims sometimes do the same vices that they argue against. Neither of you should stereotype.
Overall for the article, self-defence is good for anyone gender irrespective. You never know when you might need it.
For those people who are arguing that westerners are afraid because Islam is the fastest spreading religion should take another closer look into Islam. As time progresses towards Qiyama, muslims are supposed to reduce in numbers or at least in acts. And those predicting the statictics here need to brush with reality again or perhaps take a stats course sometime soon.
As we go forward in the next century your bound to see more clashes along resource lines, which eventually will enmesh all sorts of colors involving religion, ethinicity, politics, wealth and power. Its going to get more chaotic.
And remember policy on paper is quite different from a country's population. All these countries that are secular have to be biased against something in order to be secular. Secular in todays world is the opposite of being religious, so religious people should also take heed when they live in secular countries they are bound to encounter some form of bias or prejudice.
Instead of making a jihad against non-muslim secular countries to accept them as they are their first priority should be to make jihad against their own home countries to to provide a better system or means of living so people do not end up leaving the country for better economic opportunities in other non-muslim lands. And at the same time understand what Islam really says about issues that stick to non-muslims. The Niqaabi issue being one, which has already been debated on another thread.
Muslims are supposed to win others though example but we do about-turns when in comes to that. We try to segregate ourselves as much as possible. No one is saying to assimilate but integrate. If we want to be tolerated and respected for our beliefs then we need to do the same for others and especially when we live in their societies. We should make ourselves understood not imposed as our clerics often try to do.
Oh man i dont even live near Green St. I dont go there often at all. The only reason I go there is cos they have gorgeous clothes stores like Daminis, Chiffons and Mehndi’s. On that occasion i actually went there cos i wanted to get my daughter a lengha from Daminis and their kiddies range is absolutely gorgeous. Clapham common is too far for me to go and i know they dont have the asian clothes stores there either:clown:
However i do live in a very respectable area which is why i was merely saying what our personal experience was esp as these classes r being held in the London borough of Newham and Green St is in that borough.
I havnt been to Southall for a long time...i know they have a really small Daminis and Punjab textiles-i think thats what its called-I do remember there being sum nice shops there tho. Its just so far for me to go cos its totally on the other side of London.
