Nina & Aisha

are Siri’s cousins.

Nina will allow any iOS and Android developers add voice capabilities into their app by using Nuance Communication’s Software Development Kit. Nuance is the company that powers Siri’s voice.

Who is Aisha?
The desi Siri.

Is there a Chinese Siri?

Re: Nina & Aisha

Oh my god! I saw 'Aisha' on the thread title and got a mini heart attack!! There's a desi OS based on my name? O_o

Re: Nina & Aisha

^^ Hope you're feeling better.

Re: Nina & Aisha

Nowadays everyone’s coming up with this stuff. I’ve seen tons different apps copying SIRI beta. But these 2 seem to be doing well in the news.

And some AISHA (Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant) goodness:

Re: Nina & Aisha

I had no idea Aisha stood for something. I thought they were trying to be politically correct and all encompassing. :o

Re: Nina & Aisha

I am not sure how good all these apps will cork, cause SIRI is a hardware dependent app. Iphone 4S was designed to take advantage of SIRI. The noise cancellation technology is built into 4S hardware.

Re: Nina & Aisha

-SIRI doesn't work if you don't have internet connection,
-Noise cancellation technology was built into the Google Nexus One
-For the 4s the only thing they keep advertising is SIRI, a beta product. I'd be more inclined to get that device cuz of its camera, but you never hear a peep about that.
