Nilofer Shahid is pretty interesting…I honestly have never cared for any of her traditional desi outfits (they look so generic to me), and yet, her fusion western wear is just so artistic. I love so many of the outfits she had in this show…

Wow, these are Gorgeous! Thanks alot for sharing with us. Nilofer is my personal favorite designer as i have always felt her work has always been very unique and distinct :biggthumb.

Edit: the fact that she has used ivory as the color for the collection really added to the collection for me!!! :)

Only a few are nice.. most of them are so blah.. and to think she’s doing my wedding outfit :smack: pata nahi kaisa banayegi.

^ oh lady, don't stress... the design you've picked is so lovely, i'm sure its going to be awesome.
plus, this is her western line and of course the design is different from her bridals- she's appealing to a different clientele and market altogether. don't worry so much :)

Because the show was in Paris…I believe it was supposed to be a tribute to the Empresses Noor Jehan and Josephine. I really like how she fuses Pakistani embroidery and fabrics with French lace and western tailoring.

Exactly! I think it is quite interesting the way she has married all these different fabrics, textures, and style. The outfits might not be something we can wear but def. gives you lot of ideas.
