That is why no one should do "Blind Arranged Marriages" which are unIslamic.
It is important that when people are looking for rishte they do so in a thorough way, knowing the person very well before they commit. This will minimise these problems.
Also, when the nikkah was drafted there is allowance for the woman to set conditions for marriage, which can be set and agreed.
Entering a contract where one gets given apples instead of pears is deception, I think you may find some Judge rule that the marriage is void if it can be proven that marriage was undertaken on a false pretext.
Otherwise the marriage is still in tact and she needs to set a new contract in place that she will return to him only if a condition is put in place where she will demand divorce from the man and that he will give the divorce if he continues to do x, y and z ... if the man agrees then this condition is binding at least in a civil court.
