I am not married yet. Yes it is easier to have the registration and the nikkah in the same state but i asked because ofcourse it is causing a conflict. We will be having a reception in my state along with the nikkah but the SO or lets say his family wants the registration there. I thought it shouldnt be a problem just wanted to confirm. Thanks =)

you can send your affidavit/permission, judge can easily perform civil wedding without your presence.
