Its no biggie, it happens all the time. I think the confirmation(yes or no - Kabool ya no kabool) is settlted before the marriage. Signing of the papers is just ceremonial thing for the people who come to the wedding.

when two people commit to each other then they get married ....
saying that hey they got married in a church or in a mosque or they said I Do instead of teen times qabool hay is insulting their marriage
The whole purpose of a wedding ceremony is to tell the world you got married ...it doesnt hold any purpose for the two people involved
either way they consider themselves for each other
