I want a natural look for makeup - nothing madeup or dragon-ish The options i am considering are Mariam Khawaja, Alle Nora & Madeehas.My main aim is to look my age if not younger. I dont want to look like an aunty at all.
**Mariam **- She does that natural makeup that i want but ive got party make-up from her on my sister’s wedding twice already. I dont want that same look to the face again. It should be something different. I am well aware of her makeup style now and i like it as well but i am unsure if she will do the justice of making me look different (full dressed then as well) than how i was looking on my sister’s wedding.
Madeehas - usually most people feel they have a monotonous look. Every bride of theirs ends up looking some what the same due to the makeup of her eyes. The colours are different but if you keep looking at the pictures you will be able to notice the monotony
Alle Nora - They some times doll you up with base a lot and because there are no mirrors you never really know whats going on. Most brides do end up looking very pretty but that look of natural i am unsure of. My cousin got her barat make up from them. This cousin of mine is extremely fair and she doesnt like putting on base at all. She went for Alle Nora only when they convinced her they wouldnt put on too much of base or make her look like a ghost. She did get that natural look but the base made her look pale and a little yellowish. Her own skin colour was way beautiful.
I am in a conufsed zone. Any suggestions? I would love to see some latest pictures from these 3 places as well.
i wont recommend Alle Nora at all...have seen nasty brides by madeeha's as well..so i would recommend Mariam khawaja..cuz its important to look stunning!!and mariam's is the safest option..

ehl-e-chamman - Any idea how much they take for nikkah makeup? I think they are way expensive, i dont want to spend a large amount for nikkah make up. Maximum it should be Rs: 22,000
It's only Nikkah, can you go easy on the make-up? Like i know if i was having my nikkah not on the wedding days i would opt for minimal make-up (def minus foundation/base) like most probably highlight the eyes and go light on the lips.
I had my barat makeup done there and you are right they are expensive. my sister had party makeup done there same day with senior artist and I believe the charges were >30,000 rps. This was in 11/2010. you really should contact them for their current breakdowns.
now my nikkah was a simple, small event (and not in pk) … so I did my own makeup … if you call lipgloss and eyeliner makeup. If you know a little bit more then I do about makeup, consider doing your own. just a thought.
i need a base though. a light one, not as heavy as a bridal one. Any ideas from where to get it in Lahore? my pictures come out horrible without a base, so any help would be great!
we had a WONDERFUL experience with a lady that comes to your place for the makeup. it was my brother's wedding last weekend and we all got our party make-over done by her for all 3 days PLUS the walima bride's makeup as well. she did an awesome job, best part was that the bride was SO happy and relaxed getting all done up at home with having her snacks,tv,chit chat and resting :) the MUA joined us for the walima later and kept helping for touch-ups !!
I am all for mariam khwaja (like many of you know :D ) but she's gotten pretty expensive ( we got my sil's bridal makeup done by her for 13k 2 yrs ago so it hurts to see her charging 35k now!) this MUA we hired did a EQUALLY good job on my bhabi Alhamdulillah :)

she charged 15000rs for bridal makeup(with 1 free party makeup) and 3000rs for a party makeup. I took this ^ picture while she still had to do final touchups for the eye-brows and hair

mariam khawaja is going up and up she would be charging 38k in october/november. and she says she would go to 50k around next year.. :S
^ man, for 50k i'd go with Ather Shahzad, at least they're famous.

she thinks she can charge just a little less the ather shahzad. i dont know why but she compares herself with them. so as they will go up she will go up..
