Pakistan makes soccer balls for Nike....so I was just wondering where they make it...where they make Nike's stuff.

ohh well those soccer balls are made in Sialkot.....but i am sure now they must have NIKE stores in all big cities because like 4 yrs ago there were tommy, CK and levi's store opening in karachi.

Yes I have been to this facility but its not nike’s own but of Saga sports. (called Saga City)
Nike soccer or foot balls are made by saga sports in Pakistan. www.sagasport.com they are based in Sialkot and has long term contract with Saga, both are active in removeing child labour in this industry and introduced many innovative ideas.

i.e, prividing schools and hospitals for workers, free transport. building stiching centres near to workers own homes. so abolishing removing the cause of home stiching of balls that may involve childern.

others who are making soccor and rugby balls for name like Adidas, are Sublime sports also from same small sports city Sialkot.

I know all this on top of head cause I have some close friends who are from families who owns some major names in this industry.

apart from major players, there are hundreds of them based in Sialkot making sport and surgical equipment only for export market.

— hmm nike itself also present in Pakistan. just as retailer and have outlets in all major cities of Pakistan.

saga sports is own by my cousin... i was shocked to c that something like that can be present in a rural place like sialkot..

Hey thanks for all the info. So Nike itself does not own factories in PK. Do these industries have jobs for students with college degrees? Just curious not wanting to get a job in PK.

well not much, but they do have design department and MIS recruit graduates. but i doubt many from large cities will opt to work there. well some did casue they offer good packages+ car etc.

most stichers workers are women.
