like ppl have said before, we can see signs of anything we want to in anything. there is no point in attaching any importance to these signs
naahh nomaan..i dont think its the same as what saadia posted. Lets just say these things are NOT that relevant (and many are not..like the coca cola thing that’s been posted here several times), we can never know for sure. Allah(swt) knows best right? we dont have to give credence to some of these things if we dont want to but we shouldnt ridicule them either (im not saying that u’re doing that..just my point-of-view)

hk, this is strange logic. how cant we be sure? everything is clear in our religion...what to revere and what not to.

maybe i didnt make myself clear...i specifically said that we DONT have to give these things any credence but regarding saadia's post (Allah and the right hand) all i said was that we dont have to disrespect so-called miracles either. We dont know everything do we? only Allah does. Get it now?

hk I'll give you and example:
I was sitting in lab reading my mail and I got that rose nebula thingie....... my gora friend saw it over my shoulder and commented
"hang on........christians send up the telescope and now you say its already in the Quran" ...... and he was right too.
and thats happened more than once......
I am sure the things are in Quran...... I have total faith in that.

i dont think its that publicized. And its NOT attributing other people's discoveries to the Quran...what's in their is revealed by Allah (way before any telescope was invented) I really dont care what a non-Muslim says about that. As for ur gora friend, does he know that when all of christian europe thought the earth was flat, Muslims knew otherwise? or that so many of the so-called western discoveries were inspired by works of Muslim scientist/scholars? these aren't some hidden facts, everyone knows about this....the west just doesnt like publicizing it.
Why be ashamed of something which is a part of our faith? If something's in the Quran then why be hesitant to say that we knew about it way before the rest of the world?
People who make ignorant remarks need to be corrected. I think thats only possible when we have a detailed knowledge of the Quran, which sadly, most of us dont. It'd only make us more confident when talking about these issues rather than feel like a loser.
