Quite frankly, I don't know if you are a girl or a guy, neither do I care, but that's the stupid-est thing I have ever heard in my life.
If a girl makes 'some sort of a sign or stays quiet' does not mean she accepts. She also has to say kabool hai 3 times, atleast loudly so the witnesses and the molvi hear her... I don't know what kind of a religion you practice, cuz a girl remaining quiet during her nikkah isn't referred to as a 'yes' in Islam. And you don't need to be an expert on Islam to know that... sorry to say it so bluntly.
have you ever heard of the words from Islamic Shariah.. ''Ass Sukooto bi manzilatil Qubool'' .. i guess no unles you have a deep understanding of theislamic Law .. i dunt blame ya ..
well sister .. in islam ...the aove pharase has been used and is ONLY for this issue .. in the islamc shariah .. when a gurl is asked for her permission at her nikah .... if she stays quiet .. WITHOUT her being upset or anything ..and gives a gesture like a smile or something ..it is taken as a 'yes'...
rabia3983 : justto clarify with you .. no she dunt have to say anything ...
ps. these days everything is on paper ... so when the gurl signs ..that also is an approval ..unless theres a molwi/rishtadar standing over her head ..with a Danda ..telliing her to sign ..BUT rather she does it on her own accord and from her own will ..and therefore ... if she is quiet and then signs ... then its approval .. however if she stays quiet and dunt sign ..clearly its a NO .
:)
