is a nikah valid if done by a lawyer who himself is a witness to oit too ,with another witness and the witnesses from the girl’s side are her mother and one same witness as for the man’s side?
if u have a lawyer, u need 2 witnesses to verify that he indeed has been selected as a lawyer....
and u will eed 2 more witnesses to verify the reading of the nikaah in presence of the lawyer....
so that will mean 5 distinct ppl in all (lawyer and 4 witnesses)....

A Nikah is performed with a proposal (Iejaab) by the male or female and acceptance (Qubool) by the male or female in the past tense and in the presence of two male Muslim witnesses (Hidaaya vol. 2).
