hmmm... im considering this cuz i m left with no other option.
im paki 21 and my guy is indian 27
my fathers nt agreeing.. and we're really close..
i hv told my mother about it..
but as soon as she tlks to my dad he kinda..screws things up fr her..
she falls sick..gets pressure n bla bla bla..
he also threatn her for divorce if she cms up with the name of my guy..
i been with this guy for 3 yrs
my mom n siblings have noprobem
and his family no bdy objects
infact dad was already to get me married to him last year
but his sisten kinda poisoned him about my guy
now under no circumstance hes not ready to let us get married...
n hes sending me off to canada,,,
and cuz i know i have to do smth b4... i can do nuthing..
i m just looking at this...

^ Yours look like a phadda nikkah. Complicating it further by doing phone nikkah is definitely not advisable. Pls sort out the issues first.

i think its a good idea as long as the nikah is on the weekends or after 9 PM on weekdays.

I attended one such nikah where the dullah had his nikah infront of a big plasma screen. I think they were doing it over MSN. So they went through the qalmas and duas then dullah turned around and sat on a huge sofa on the stage. (kulum kula)

you should get a power of attorney relinquishing your right to someone to act on your behalf in signing the nikaah nama.........etc.

Double check about whether or not it's legal. I seem to recall reading that it wasn't when figuring out the whole visa process for my hubby. But perhaps there are exceptions.

well have done tht several times.. all i get back is alot f pain... physical n mental torcher for as lng as 1 week..thn he acts like nuthing happened...

im wid him for 3 years
same place..
i see him almost every day
im with him for like 6 hrs everyday..
i go to his house... for lunch.. his mom makes food for me..
we are together...
nooo dad dsnt want me to get married to a canadian..
tht guy is a paki as welll..hes hopless neevr doen nything in life..
up to now his dad finances him.. although he cant but he manages...

Why dont u tell ur dad that u cant marry someone , while u love someone else, talk to him, explain him that one decision can ruin ur life, i really dont understand why parents are so ziddi sometimes ..i feel very bad for u , did ur phupho told ur dad rubbish about the guy ? when such pplz daughters come at home after marriage with bad news, then to they understand what kind of mistake they made (allah na kare) but its a fact.

just keep talking to ur dad, tell the guy to send his mother to your home for rishta or something .. keep trying..

well if you can not present your case on forum. I can only make a guess the way you would present it to your father. You cant win it this way. Let it go and keep crying here on the forum or in some dark corner.p.s.simplest thing to do in life is to present a long endless wish list to parents.
