Nikah Hair and Look

hi guys,

so my nikah is a separate event after jummah at the hotel that we’re having our mehendi. i’m wearing a sana safinaz outfit with a palooza pant and strappy sandal. i’m trying to downplay my look but not sure what to do. do i not wear jewelry? how should i do my hair? how much of my hair should be covered with the dupatta?

i have the mehendi that night and am doing the flower jewelry, paranda look, and wanted something different for the nikah, and was avoiding wearing my hair up. having it blow dried straight and then having the girl put my dupatta on straight, is that sufficient, or should i have a poof in the front? i just don’t want to look trendy, but moreso, in nikah mode.

advice/suggestions?

ok so when I think of a nikah, simplicity comes to mind. Not sure what a paranda look is. I really think if you want to keep your hair down, you should consider the last picture. As for you nikah jewelry, I would think a nice pair of simple earrings and necklace will suffice. I’m sure your mom has something simple that is special to her, given to her by your father. hope this helps!

You can add some wave to your hair ( with a curling iron) and have a bit of it pinned back neatly...depending on how you part your hair. I would wear light jewelry.

something like this but with looser/larger curls and/or straight hair- http://www.women-hairstyles.com/images/half-updo.jpg

and then the dupatta on head with or without the ghoonghat. keep your makeup simple -eyeliner, waterproof mascara, blush and gloss- since you want to go low-key and maybe just a small set instead of something larger for jewellery?
