hello guppies!!
i had a question and you all seem so knowledgeable about all things weddings so i had to post this question to you all. How would I go about doing the nikaah on the actual wedding/barat day. I fell in love with the way it was done in Rabia & Omars wedding :

does anyone how the nikaah forms are here in the states? in rabia & omars wedding the nikaah nama looked like it was tailored to them…is that possible?

Don't know if it can be customized or not.. all I know is that we went to the town hall for our legal marriage, the lady then had us fill out the papers, handed some for us to give to Imam and we mailed it the day after wedding. Later, we went by to pick up a copy.

Yeah I want to do my nikaah on the same day as well but I am lost as to how to go about it! Is it looked down upon if the nikaah is done on stage in front of everyone with both the bride and groom present?

not at all! some people choose to share that moment with their closest family and friends as its more intimate, and some choose to celebrate that moment in front of all their guests- there is no right or wrong here- just what makes sense to you and your fiance.

Yeah I would like to have the nikaah in front of all my guests. But I am still thinking of how to organize it...... I was wondering if any of you out there have had the nikaah on stage.
