Re: Nihari from a scratch
Alright, I dont know the exact propotion, cuz one of my uncles made this and I wrote just the out line.
cut 4 piyaz in slices.
Brown the half of the onions in oil. Blend the rest of onions + garlic +ginger + corriender powder + garam masala powder + termeric + salt + red chilli powder.
Add this mixture in browned onions and bhoonafy well. While bhooning, add the meat Beef large chunks.
Then add lots of water and let it boil on high heat.
Then reduce the heat to the lowest. cover and let it simmer for the whole night.
Check the water in the morning, add 3-4 tbsp aata to make the shorba gaarha. :p
I hope that helps, I am sorry I cant provide you with details ke kitni cheez kitni.
but its the simplest recipe and its really yummy.

Thank you sadaf! nihari meat is in the pot and inshallah we will enjoy the results this evening-
Re: Nihari from a scratch
oops I hope I am not too late to put this tip here,
You can also add a couple of spoons of shaan qourma masala just to give it a good smell. But if you dont want to its okay.
and 4-5 hrs is good enough to let the meat cook, you dont really have to put it on at night.
