In my childhood, my father never let me go out of the house after dusk in the evening (unless very urgent) because he strongly believed in the following verse of Surah Falaq.
As our teacher once explained to us, that most of the bad deeds are done under the curtain of the darkness of the night, it is better to avoid leaving house at night unless very much necessary.
In present day life, partying late at night and going out with friends during this time has become a fashion. Isn’t it better to organize our outdoor activities a bit early or before dusk on weekends, unless it is part of a person’s job or an unavoidable meeting ?

Y all the dance clubs are called "night" clubs. y strip clubs are open only at the night time.

still i think that if u are gona something bad u will do it doesn matter its night or day, but i guess night makes it abit easier to do bad stuff. :S i dono
i agree with ecoshan... what is darkness... lack of light, and what is light, just excited photons.
in this day and age we have electricity and lighting... you dont have to sit at home at night and be scared... you can go and work night shifts, eat at night, play cricket at night, or study, doesnt matter...
This reminds me of the concluding chapter of 2010, the sequel to 2001 a space odyssey, where Dr. Floyd writes a letter to his infant child and states how he would grow up in the world with two suns, where they dont have to worry about night time, like they used to in his generation.
Hmm...thought provoking indeed. One aspect can be that the majority of public is asleep at night and there is not much of a social check on people involved in bad activities. Why most of the thefts, rapes, killing,....etc. has a very high percentage at night then in the day, in most of the cities in the world. Though things might change with time, as brother spock mentioned, but still relatively more evils exist at night.
I might be wrong as this is just my personal understanding.
Night is for resting/sleeping usually.
Even my elders always told me that its better to not go out in the night.But in Hot countries Most people do their necessary shopping & other stuff at night after the sun has gone down.
