^Even in the West, people can get really crass and crude in the media.
Somehow I just don't believe that Desi hosts are jahil or unaware of manners and etiquette. Culture and religion both emphasize. I don't think hosts are "unaware" of their actions....because they would also squirm and fume if the same was done to them. When you react in anger to someone who treats you in the same manner you treated another person.... That perhaps is a "clue" that you are aware that such behavior us wrong but for whatever reason you still decided to engage in it.

that was really bad i didnt even want to finish it .. and the saud guy is with her making fun of him .. he is elder than both quite a bit but these people have no respect they pretend to be nice and make fun of people

they are just saying awkard comments nad staring at him waiting for a bad reaction on camera .. its really digusing .. shabbir jan was really nice he should have thrown that ghaas on nidaès head before he left

You have to watch the entire show. Shabbir insisted multiple times that Nida refrain from asking such questions.........but Nida laughed off his requests. Even Saud was getting uneasy from the drilling Nida was giving Shabbir.........but again Nida laughed it off.
Nida could have changed the direction of the show.......its not like the producers held a gun to her head.
This was definitely not staged.
Maybe the producers gave her instructions to bring a topic back to the point even when the guest evades it. Maybe that's part of her professional contract. But whether or not it was staged.... It's still not right to embarrass someone publicly... Even if she had some beef against him. If he had offended her in some way but did not go to the length of publicly embarrassing her.... Then she shouldn't have done so either. Producers may be guilty but where are her priorities? Does she not think that Allah will question us about our treatment of others and the soundness of our livelihood. Popularity is a worldly gain... It doesn't benefit in the next world especially if it wasn 't for right or virtuous reasons.

When someone who is used to act off a written/memorised script is paid to speak extempore 2 hours live DAILY, woh end pe bakwaas hee karay ga naa time poora karnay kay liay I have yet to see someone associated with this industry in Pakistan to have a decent sense of humour. Laughing out loud at random (and dirty) jokes and dancing all dressed up in the mornings doesnt make you a good host at all.

Okay so I watched a youtube clip of the segment.
Shabbir did tell her to leave such questions but she persisted. She even said that bahut mushkil se Shabbir ko kursi pe bithaye rakha hai kyun k yeh to break k dauraan jaana chahtay thay. Behr haal program main rehnay ka shukria. These words from Nida sounded condescending to me.
If she and the producers KNEW that he tried to leave the show during the break then the team should have avoided asking such questions when they resumed the program after the break. Nida and her team could have learned from the reaction during break- time.... But they chose not to.
I also wonder that if Shabbir had watched Nida 's show and manner of hosting.... Why did he even agree to come on the show in the first place? Was it worth the money or the camera time?
When he stormed off the show... Nida calls after him and tells him that this is what she was told to do.... and that she no longer wants to do such programs. See, this goes back to what I said earlier. If Nida and her zameer know that such programs are "wrong"....... Why on Earth does she continue to do the show? It can't just be because she signed a contract of 1 year or x many years with the producers. Does money and camera time take priority over class for her?
And even though she was caught on film saying that she doesn't feel like doing such shows..... Then what do her producers think of such comments? Should they not dismiss her for saying such things in front of a live audience?
The other possibility is that maybe Shabbir Jan was a part of this drama. Maybe he agreed to producers' instructions to walk out of the show as a cheap way to boost viewer ratings. People don't close their eyes during an impending train wreck. Society may bash Nida and her show.....but they'll still tune in for the next episode out of curiosity about the next potential hungama. Being a mom, what kind of example is Nida setting for her own household... It's really embarrassing.

This was not staged. A common friend on Facebook commented on this video clip. He was apparently there when it happened and they were all completely caught off guard since they were not anticipating it( idiots!) they should issue an apology to the guy! Waisay Saudi and nidas expressions when he stormed out were priceless.

I know, what are my limits and I will not cross them because you told me to do so. During her show, she said that Shabbir Jan wants to leave program but she kept him. ARY needed some face saving so they manaofied Shabbir Jaan. He accepted their apology and played along that everything was scripted and they were "ragging" Nida Yasir. yeah right. nice try.
It was his bara-pan to not only accept their apology but to also help them save face. But I hope they learned their lesson and don't think that they can manaao every celebrity that they trash on the show.
