Can anyone please confirm if I travel to Pakistan from US with Pakistani id card or I need nicop or visa? I have US passport and my pakistani id card is not expired... thank you so much!!
um I believe you'll need visa if you dont have a NICOP. The ID card may help in other ways but not to enter without visa.
The visa process is not difficult at all, just fyi.
As USC, you'll need POC (Pakistan Origin Card) to travel to Pakistan visa free. NICOP is for Pak citizens living abroad long term while NIC is for Pak citizens in Pakistan.
You'll need NICOP to enter Pakistan or visa.. NICOP fee is around $120 in Pakistan.. so you can apply in Pakistani embassy in USA to save time and money.. otherwise you've to get visa and then get NICOP from NADRA office in Pakistan..
Note: If you're willing to get NICOP from Pakistan, then you should go to NADRA's VIP branch to avoid hectic procedures and heavily crowded areas..
yeah the NICOP card can be used for those Pakistani who live abroad and they want to come to Pakistan then they don't need to get visa ..
There is news that NICOP may no longer be necessary and CNIC will suffice for entry.
